Maree is an accredited professional counsellor with NZAC and a registered addictions practitioner with DAPAANZ. She has years of extensive experience as a skilled group facilitator. Maree is a compassionate therapist who aims to provide a non-judgemental and supportive therapeutic environment. She uses an integrated approach with a strengths-based focus, to help establish healthy behaviours and provide coping strategies to facilitate positive and meaningful change.
Maree utilises her training and ongoing professional development to deliver a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and Hauora Māori models of care, which have proven to be effective in the treatment of substance dependence. She will personalise counselling and AOD interventions to meet the goals and needs of tāngata whaiora and their whānau.
